A self-portrait is good once and awhile.
I have been having action-adventure type dreams recently, and boy, have they been wild!! They are not the most restful, but you’ll have that when you are a hero. The morning, just before waking up, seems to be my time for dreaming. And these days, it seems to be my time for KICKING ASS!!
I was doing battle with a bone-creature a few mornings ago, complete with Matrix-style freeze frame action. It was a bit freaky, but I am pretty good at chilling out in my dreams when necessary. I do a “reality” check to remember it is a dream, and then get back to it. The end entailed some disco-ninja move off a balcony to escape death. Pretty rad.
Then this morning I started off shredding it up snowboarding (Item of interest: I don’t snowboard.), probably in the Alps. I remember looking back and being impressed with the lines I had just carved. After that I moved to some sort of thievery (either stealing something important or breaking into somewhere important – not sure). There was a gang of us, but my conscience got to me, I grabbed my important things, and took off hiking into the hills seeking out good karma. Seriously, I had an attack of morals and decided I could not carry out the misdeed. This was admirable , but I am of the theory that dreams should be ethics-free zones. After all, it isn’t like you will get in any trouble of committing ill shit in Dreamland.
I wonder what is up for tonight. I could go for some eco-tourism or something like that. The action-adventure is fun, but as I said, not the most restful. A beach, a hammock, and a book would be nice.
Words.
